This certification means a lot to me — not just as a photographer, but also as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. Every child deserves to be seen, understood, and celebrated for who they are. And every family deserves a photography experience that feels safe, supported, and genuinely inclusive.
When families come into my studio or book a session outdoors, my goal is always to create an environment where kids can be themselves — whether that means taking breaks, needing extra time, exploring their surroundings, or skipping a pose altogether. I’ve learned that the best photos often happen in those in-between moments, when a child feels comfortable enough to just be.
This certification helps me take that intention even further. It means I’ve completed specialized training to better understand sensory sensitivities, communication differences, and strategies for making sessions smoother for children on the autism spectrum and those with other developmental or sensory needs.
