Mini Session or Full Session—What’s the Difference?

If you’ve ever wondered whether a mini session or a full session is the right choice for your family, you’re not alone! Both are wonderful in different ways, and understanding the differences can help you decide what fits your needs best.

Here’s a simple breakdown to guide you:

1. Time & Scheduling

Mini sessions are short and sweet—usually around 10 minutes and booked back-to-back. They’re great if you’re looking for a quick update to your family photos.
Full sessions allow for more breathing room. With more time, you can relax, settle in, and let those natural moments unfold without feeling rushed.

2. Location Options

Mini sessions take place at one specific location that I select in advance. This helps keep things efficient and consistent.
Full sessions, on the other hand, give you the freedom to choose a location that feels meaningful—whether it’s your backyard, a favorite park, or somewhere new and scenic.

3. One Spot vs. Variety

With a mini session, we typically stay in one set spot with limited backgrounds.
A full session lets us explore, move around, and take advantage of different backdrops and angles—offering more variety in your gallery.

4. Number of Images

Minis come with a smaller selection of beautifully edited images.
Full sessions include a larger gallery with more moments captured and a broader range of expressions and interactions.
